It all started when…
The Ask: Professional Ottawa Wedding Photographers Joel & Jess wanted to stand out in a saturated photography industry.
The Problem: Competitive research revealed that, while Joel and Jess Photography provided top quality work, prospective audiences had a hard time differentiating them solely based on their beautiful wedding imagery as their brand and unique value proposition were not well known - despite producing award-winning work for more than a decade. Further, their brand messaging was at odds with the warm and engaging personalities of the pair and the way they wanted to be perceived.
The Solution: A brand strategy audit and revamp, enhanced brand messaging, clarified value proposition, and a brand film that leverages emotional impact increasing brand recall and affinity.
Through refined messaging, a greater emphasis was placed on connection including refining their consultation process to set them apart and maximize conversions when meeting with prospective couples. This was imagined as a pancake breakfast in-home consultation for the Emotive Brand Film we created. To spark a positive psychological response a film script drawing on the love story between Joel + Jess was juxtaposed with mirrored images of the pair and their clients creating a sense of unity, warmth, and comfort.
